Our friends

Partnerships both locally, Nationally and Internationally are important to Wainui School.

Locally we have an annual Golf Day Fundraiser that substantially contributes to the operations of Wainui School. This has been well supported by local business; Hiway Stabilizers have made significant contributions over the last 4 years we thank them for this.

Our International Partnership with Ritsumeikan Moriyama Junior High, Japan occurs each year in August/ September. It is one we are very proud of and has provided a truly authentic cultural exchange in language and culture. Many of our local families have enjoyed the homestay experience continuing their own partnerships well after the visitors have returned to Japan. In 2012 the school plans to return with another group of 20 students form the 21 August 2012-5 September 2012.

Boards Meetings are public meetings held in the Wainui School staff room on the third Wednesday of each month commencing at 6:30 p.m. You are most welcome to attend .

The Board of trustees minutes are public documents an up to date copy is hanging on the notice board in the school office.

The dates for this year have been set, however we do some times change these if other events determine this.

Our PTA

Our PTA are an enthusiastic group of parents committed to working in partnership with the Board of Trustees , the staff and the community to primarily raise much needed extra funds to provide top quality education for our children. The PTA are very keen through the class liaisons to support and help in classrooms, the library in the gardens in what ever activity is able to be supported!

Meetings are held in the Wainui School Staff room on the second Tuesday of each month. You are always welcome to attend

Minutes of the meetings are on the school office notice board and will in future be attached to the school website.

We have already planned lots of activites for 2012, some are fun for the local families some are fundraisers out side the community. A calendar will be available in the next week with all these dates to enable you to plan which ones you would like to attend , donate to or help at.
