Takahe Team

Welcome to the Takahē Team, where our Year 7 and 8 students lead the way in our school community.

 

We are dedicated to nurturing leadership aspirations, encouraging our students to become the leaders of today and tomorrow. Our approach to teaching is grounded in systematic, science, and evidence-based methods, with a strong emphasis on structured literacy and mathematics.

Our classroom environment is designed to be nurturing and positive, fostering a genuine love for school and learning. We are passionate about our community and are committed to making meaningful contributions to both our local environment and the broader world. Our students, along with our teachers, are confident, caring, and loving individuals who hold immense value.

In the Takahē Team, we embrace the principles of E Tū Tangata by seeing the value in ourselves and others, recognising that others matter, and understanding that we succeed together. We hope that each student sees themselves as positively in the mirror as we have the privilege of seeing them every day. They are truly amazing, and we want them to know they are loved and valued.
